Xi'an, known as Chang'an in ancient times, is located in northwest China, in the middle of Guanzhong Plain, bordering Weihe River in the north and Qinling Mountains in the south. Since ancient times, Xi'an has enjoyed the reputation of "eight rivers around Chang'an". Xi'an was designated as a "World Historical City" by UNESCO in 1981. It is one of the important birthplace of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, and the starting point of the Silk Road. Thirteen dynasties built their capitals here in history, and it is one of the four ancient capitals of China and the four ancient capitals of the world. It is one of the capitals with the largest number of dynasties, longest and most influential in Chinese history.


 


 

Xi'an is the best tourist destination in China and one of the best international image cities in China. There are two six heritage sites listed on the World Heritage List, namely: Qin Shihuang Mausoleum and Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Little Wild Goose Pagoda, Daming Palace site of Chang'an City of Tang Dynasty, Weiyang Palace site of Chang 'an City of Han Dynasty, Xingjiao Temple Tower. In addition, Xi'an city wall, bell and Drum Towers, Huaqing Pool, Zhongnan Mountain, Tang Lotus Garden, Shaanxi History Museum, Forest of Stele and other scenic spots.
